Goings on at the Limudai Yisroel Institute for the week of September 7-14 2018

We want to welcome and commend Yeshivas Beer Hagola for becoming the 12^th school to order Kosher textbooks for their students. It is only befitting the school which was founded by Rav Chaim Yisroel Belsky zatza"l, to whom kosher textbooks meant so much, to be taking a leadership position in purchasing Kosher text books.

As the primary elections are past us, and Simcha Felder Boruch Hashem seems likely to be here for some time longer, I think it makes sense to for those yeshivos under investigation to make some common-sense changes to their curriculum that would deflate the sails of those out to change them completely. In my opinion, these schools should:

add a few more hours of general studies per week in line with most frum yeshivos
Make the general studies education more in line with the culture of the chasidishe environment by adopting Torah and Jewish positive textbooks
Hire only trained Bnai Torah that can impart a robust general studies education to their students
Make the general studies curriculums more in line with chareidi standards by teaching the required materials in a Torah fashion and Jewish focus
